Cuts on Street Drugs with Lisa Booze

The MedicCast

Street drugs are usually added with chemicals or substances for purposes of diluting the drug, extending its effects, or to increase it s potency. Since the contaminants may not always alter the appearance or the taste, it is difficult for the paramedics or even the user to identify what chemicals have been added. Find out more about street drugs and contaminants in this episode of the MedicCast, an interview segment with Lisa Booze from Maryland Poison Center. Included in the show are news for EMS providers and links to sources for a more comprehensive review.
