In responding to cases of toxic gas inhalation, EMS providers should remember scene safety measures such as respiratory precautions and eye protection to keep them from the hazards of the poisonous gas. Since there were recent cases of attempted suicides using such gases, they should also inspect for cans or containers that could possibly have been the source to be able to provide the necessary interventions.
